The Great Families
‘Zampatti Azienda’
Zampatti Azienda (Zampatti Company) was founded by Raphael & Martino’s father Giovanni Zampatti, Giovanni was a simple Silver Miner who worked hard to raise his family of ten. The fall of the Empire was actually a blessing in disguise for Giovanni; he no longer had to pay absurd amounts of taxes to the corrupt bureaucrats and ruling families.
With a clear power vacuum amongst the infighting cities of the Dominion, Gionvanni was able to consolidate his business and started to build his own mines – thus the Zampatti Azienda was born.
With the lack of ruling government or bureaucracy, the Zampatti Azienda quickly established itself as one of the most profitable companies in the Dominion (with no taxes and little competition). The Azienda grew in such size that Giovanni introduced his eldest two children – Raphael & Martino into the fold.
Raphael was the eldest of the two & clearly the biggest and strongest – he helped his father by managing the Azienda staff and organised the security and logistics of their precious silver.
Martino was the 2nd eldest and the more savvy and canny of the two – he became the public face of the company and assisted his father with the day to day operations, it was his job to market the company.
Tragedy occurred during the War of Reunification, Raphael & his elderly father Giovanni were inspecting one of their mines where it collapsed – killing Giovanni instantly and Raphael presumed dead.
This became a major setback for the Zampatti Azeinda, with having to run the company on his own, Martino was set another obstacle – the dwindling resource of their silver.
Martino had to do something to ensure the continuation of the Azienda without the mining business as a means of income. The attention was directed to ‘other’ ways of making an income, gambling & whore houses were established, the Mining Security was turned into a ‘Bodyguard service’. The Zampatti Azienda transformed from a business that produced silver into a business that protected and generated it instead. Of course, all of these business practices were seen as ‘above house’ by the rest of the Dominion.
12 months after the death of his father and the Azienda now heading in a new direction, Raphael was mysteriously found alive with no one knowing how he survived the mine collapse. Feeling distanced from the company, Raphael decided to let Martino keep running the Azienda independently. Whilst he focused on he did best – ‘people management’ and ‘logistics’ and airing any of Martino’s dirty laundry.
Currently, the Zampatti Azienda are one of the richest trading companies in the Siconze Dominion, and they are known to generously donate to institutions and programs within the Dominion both of artistic and influential nature.

Marquis Decunti
The Barony of Decunti originated in the murky areas of a simple crime organisation, a great family in the Cosa Nostra for certain, but nothing of nobility. Leonardo Decunti, grandfather to Mario and Roberto made the decision that his family should be more than they are and through a less than legitimate arranged marriage tied himself to the noble house from the lands of Cunti. Again utilizing the shadier skills of the family, namely intimidating and bribing certain clerks and scribes, it was discovered that the Decunti family was indeed of a very old royal bloodline that had somehow been forgotten by the modern populace of Cunti.
Through an incredibly profitable period of time for the city of Cunti, Leonardo bore a single son, Santino Decunti. In the years leading up to the reunification wars Santino proved himself to be a formidable leader of the Cunti with skirmishes with other cities and the greater political game of the great cities that the people began to look to him as their figurehead. The Decunti family soon became the reigning royal family in Cunti and mysteriously at the same time a series of horrible accidents occurred to the other families within Cunti.
Unbeknownst to the general populace of Cunti was the fact that the Decunti family never let go of their organised crime ties, in fact under the ruthless leadership of Santino and the growing skills of his children he came into the position of Don within the Cosa Nostra, coincidentally just as he became the leader of Cunti itself. The twelve families within the Cosa Nostra essentially worshiped the wealth and power that Santino brought to the organisation and deemed it to be a 'golden age' for crime within what would become the Siconze Dominion.
However the ruthless nature in which he ran the Cosa Nostra instilled within his children the same tenacity to be the best that they could and after a rather intense discussion with Mario, Santino found himself pushed out of a window into the river below, with concrete shoes of course, paving the way for an obviously grieving son to assume the mantle of 'Don'.
Don Mario is now the leader of both the Decunti family and the Cosa Nostra, followed by Roberto, whom unknown to most, is his brother's shadow and most loyal follower, their half sister Myrcella and Mario's two adopted sons, Avorio and Ebano, who have joined the military but still maintain their ties to the family 'business' whilst abroad.
Other notable Decunti's, through merit rather than blood, are Belbando via his marriage and Primo Dela Vega who carries the title Decunti as a symbol of honour and power due to his status as a head of one of the twelve families and countless tasks that he has performed for Mario.
Lastly it is to be said that a citizen of Cunti is a proud person, happy to live in such a city of prosperity and wealth after the reunification war. They pride themselves of being able to say "I am a Cunti' as to them it rings of patriotism and what they are willing to do if the Decunti family was to call on them.
